Using WordPress for a basic website

Adding content I built a site as an example including some of the reverse glass pieces we made back in 1995 and 1996. I did a few “whois” searches to find an unused .com domain.

Checking first with WhoIs.com, I could see JacksonHoleArtGlass.com was available. I called Network Solutions and purchased the basic package for $49.50, locking in JacksonHoleArtGlass.com as my domain name. I received an email with instructions on initializing the blog.

The new site needed a user name and password, plus another user name and password for the WordPress Jetpack add-on. Once initialized, my new domain name was automatically associated with the blog. The setup took less than an hour, then I had to wait 45 minutes for the software to propagate through the servers.
