“Back in 1988, I was invited to bid on a 3-by-6-ft. wooden ‘Welcome to Kent’ sign,” says Jim Timlick, Timlick’s Western Sign Company, Kent, Washington. “I suggested these cast concrete letters as an alternate. Luckily the economy in 1988 was better then, and I got the job. Needless to say, they’re still doing their job.”
