He does a wide variety of striping, from late model cars, motorcycles and street rods for owners to vintage cars for serious collectors. He does work for The Revs Institute in Naples, which has one of the largest collections of vintage racecars. Last summer he did the graphics on the 1966 GT40—the first to beat Ferrari at LeMans—during its restoration. It’s valued at $10 million.

“It would be hard to say what my favorite type is,” Alex says. “Each time I start on a vehicle, it’s like it’s my own. I like working on antique cars, maybe because I have an idea of how they’re supposed to look—and I hate to see them done wrong.”
