A great way to give back

For the past ten years Catherine O’Donnell and staff of Catherine’s Hairstyling and Barbershop in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, have supported various charitable organizations by donating the receipts for one day. She calls it “Cuts for the Cause.” This year, she and six stylists gave the salon’s entire day’s revenue to the local soup kitchen. Residents were also encouraged to donate cash or non-perishable foods.

For the past two years, Jim Aquino of Yes, Signs Now in Sault Ste. Marie has pitched in, donating internal and external signage to advertise the event, including this sidewalk sign. He sees it as an opportunity to give back to the community.
