Try a two-tone blackboard
I’ve used a two-tone blackboard many times to add a subtle logo to signs like this. I use greenboard and blackboard paints, which are flat paints. Here I mixed green and black to make a gray, then used pure black dots. On other jobs, I have reversed those colors, using a black background and green/gray logo. It’s a great way to add a little extra interest, especially since the blackboard area usually takes up most of the sign.
