This was the first time my work appeared in the magazine, with the amazing artwork of the great Bob Behounek gracing the cover.

It was with great sadness that I learned that this issue of SignCraft would be the last printed version produced. Although I knew it might be inevitable given the challenges of the publishing industry, COVID-19 certainly didn’t help.

My journey with SignCraft started when I was just 26 years old, and I got “the call” from Tom McIltrot. I had submitted some photos of my work, and somehow Tom thought it was good enough to be included in the magazine’s next issue.

Ironically, I hadn’t even quit my day job as a graphic designer yet to pursue the sign world full time. The month the issue came out was the first month I was actually full-time on my own, pursuing my dreams of having a sign company.
