A cutout shape adds a lot of interest to lettering or a sign—especially a simple flat panel. Here’s an easy way to take advantage of that effect while minimizing the cutting involved and saving finishing time.
Simply add a large shadow and heavy outline to the lettering or graphics. The beefy shadow and outline will overlap to create a silhouette that is far faster to cut out than cutting out the individual letters. A jig saw works fine for the task.
