Finishing HDU board

We have been using acrylic latex water-based paints for all of our HDU signs for about the past 20 years. We use a lot of dark colored backgrounds, and I found that the dark colors done in enamel paint were fading within a couple of years. I decided to make the switch to water-based products.

I think any quality brand of acrylic latex paint is adequate. I have been using Benjamin Moore Aura paint for the past two years with great results. It’s available at the hardware store down the street, and it comes in plenty of great colors. Plus they will also mix custom colors that I need.
