Sample signs help you reach into new markets

I’ve written recently about some new markets we’re currently trying to break into by creating some preliminary concepts and shopping them around. Our recent success has prompted us to work towards another long-coveted market. That market is dimensional pub signs. As with most all our work it is impossible to describe to a potential client what we can do for them. It is best we simply show them. If we do this effectively, the work will sell itself. Little time is wasted.
So we decided it was again time to invest in a full-on sample for the studio wall. It started with a concept drawing—as always. Then I created a full-on sample. I chronicled the entire build on our website and social media, garnering thousands of page views and many positive comments in the process.
We also showed the concept and work in progress to prospective clients over the span of the build, which lasted about six months. The finished piece will hang in a place of honor in our studio for years to come. We took the time to take some well-lit photos of the sign to feature on our portfolio page of our website.
